Town Night: Friday, September 16 (starting at 5:00PM)
Friday night activities include fireworks, kiddie rides, and a dog show.

 

Town Day: Saturday September 17 (10AM – 3PM)
It’s a full day of music, food, exhibits and more with over 200 booths to celebrate Arlington. Town Day takes place along Massachusetts Avenue between Pleasant Street and Jason Street. Please note this area of Mass. Ave. will be closed as well as access to Mass. Ave. from adjoining side streets.

 

The Walter V. Moynihan Town Day Road Race will start at 8:30 a.m. The 2.7 mile race will start at the Arlington High School and include a stretch of the Minuteman Bike Trail. Trophies will be awarded and first 100 to pre-register before 5:00 p.m. on September 15th will receive a free T-shirt. Registration is $15.00. Proceeds benefit Arlington Youth Activities.

 

The Arlington Police Department (APD) and Arlington Youth Health and Safety Coalition (AYHSC) will collect expired, unused, and unwanted prescription and over-the-counter drugs at the APD/AYHSC Booth, in front of Library Way (no sharps/needles will be collected).
Arlington Board of Health will be conducting a flu and pneumonia clinic for Arlington residents ages 65 and older at the Senior Center, 27 Maple St., ground floor, between 10 a.m. – noon.

Highland Fire Station Open House, Sept 17
On your way to Town Day, stop by the newly renovated Highland Fire Station between 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., at 1007 Mass. Ave.  Light refreshments will be served and children will be welcomed to explore the fire apparatus with Fire Department personnel. The approximately $3.5 million dollar renovation, approved by Town Meeting in 2010, includes a complete gutting and remodel of the station, while maintaining the building’s historical integrity. Additionally, green design standards were utilized during the project and LEED Silver Certification is pending.
